Awesome video footage. Tried to get some myself, but was getting totally battered by the downdraft and the grass. That was an awesome day, I remember it well. The fact that they'd recently cut the grass made it a more memorable experience. I can see myself in the vid at 4:08. Stood at the fence with the blue jacket on. Made the mistake of forgetting to close my camera bag as they came over our heads.... took a while to take out all the grass before I left....lol

It still fascinates me how it controls yaw in the hover. Apparently it rocks the contra rotating props backwards and forwards, but it still looks wrong.

The vertical take off is actually military maneuver. They have a secure area on the ground about 300 feet out. If they were to fly horizontal they could actually more at risk from a shoulder mounted rocket. This way they climb to an altitude that is out of range for this type of weapon. For security this is the best maneuver.

Despite living in Oldham, I got my ppl in the 90's but never flew into Crossland Moor. I started training at MCR then moved onto LPL when mcr got too restricted. thanks for the vid.

Why this helicopter takes so much time to stay at a higher level after the engine starts?? If it is due to the technical defect then it's okay. But, if it is due to the limitation of this helicopter then I must say that the yacht owners should not purchase this for any kind of touch and go operation.
